Basket Making

Learn the basics of basket weaving: different natural materials, types of baskets, and how to shape and weave a basket. Students will work on a variety of projects, exploring different basket weaving techniques, such as twinning, ribbing, plaiting.

In this workshop participants will reinterpret the ancient technique of coiling using modern materials easily found in the hardware and yarn store. Create vibrantly patterned, sturdy, heirloom quality bowls and vessels.
