Classes We Offer

3D Felting
This class introduces students to three-dimensional felting through two guided projects. Students will learn how to build volume, structure, and surface using wet felting and needle felting techniques.
Felting 101
Felt is a non-woven cloth that is produced by matting, condensing and pressing woolen fibers. In this course, students will learn the basics of both dry and wet felting. Students will learn how to create seamless felted flat pieces, as well as 3D forms. Techniques to make slippers, pillows, and bowls will be demonstrated.
Offered as:
  • Weekend Intensive
  • 4 Week
  • Morning Series
  • After Workshop
Nuno Felting
Nuno felting is the art of bonding wool fibers into an open-weave fabric — such as silk gauze or chiffon — through moisture, heat, and agitation. As the wool fibers migrate through the fabric weave, they lock together — shrinking and texturizing the base cloth into a soft, unified textile.
Wet Felting
In this workshop, students will be introduced to the techniques of resist felting. Students will start with making a resist felted bowl and then work on a project like booties, mittens, hat or item of personal design with any time remaining.
Offered as:
  • One Day Intensive
  • After Workshop
