Leather Working

In this class, students will learn how to create a small leather wallet, while learning about rivets and professional stitching techniques that look like machine made!

In this course, students learn the basic concepts of working with leather while developing skills for designing and working with patterns, materials, tools, sewing and finishing techniques.

In this course, students will continue learning the fundamentals of leather working, studying in more depth the various types of leather, cuts, and their uses; different tool uses and care; pattern making; hand-stitching techniques; and edge finishing and burnishing techniques. Students will work on a variety of samples to practice the learned the skills. Pre-Requisite: Leather Working 101 or leather working experience
