We offer full day sessions of classes for young makers ages 5-11 when they are on break from school - even one day camps! In these classes, students explore subjects such as weaving, sewing, soft sculpture, printing, and dyeing. Each day is dedicated to a textile process with time for outdoor play.

Each Mini Camp costs $168* per day. Drop-off is at 9am and pick-up is at 5pm. Please supply your child with lunch and two snacks. Space is limited.

Yearly Mini Camps are scheduled around the public school (and some Private/Independent school) calendar and typically include Yom Kippur, Indigenous People's Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Lunar New Year, Winter Recess, Spring Recess, Eid Al-Fitr, Clerical Day, Anniversary Day, Juneteenth.

Please read our TAC Studio Safety and Terms and Conditions before participating in any TAC programming.

Camper Pick-Up

Where is drop-off / pick-up for TAC Mini-Camp?

Pick-up and Drop-off for all ages is at Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn (505 Carroll Street)

What are camp hours?

Camp runs from 9am-5pm

Can I pick up a camper early?

If you need to pick up early, your camper may not have a completed project. If you plan to pick up early, inform camp staff at morning drop-off.

What should my camper arrive with to be prepared for the day?

Campers should arrive with a refillable water bottle, 2 snacks, and lunch. Reminder that your camper may be using materials that could dye or stain clothes.

How will snack and lunch breaks work?

There are two snack breaks during the day and one lunch break. Campers eat lunch and snack at TAC.

What park do the campers go to?

Thomas Greene Playground.

How does grouping work?

Campers are generally grouped by age. If your camper is signing up for a mini-camp with a friend or sibling they’d like to be grouped with, we recommend adding their friend’s name to the registration question about mini-camp groups. We always do our best to accommodate all requests, but cannot guarantee grouping.

What project will campers be working on?

Each camp day focuses on a specific textile process (Sewing & Fashion, Soft Sculpture, Printing, Dyeing, Weaving). These are listed under the registration dates on our website. The specific projects are revealed the day-of camp.

What is your refund policy?

Cost for camp includes a 50% non-refundable deposit at booking. Should you make any changes to your registration, you will be charged a $25 administrative fee. With more than 1 month notice you can receive a 50% refund. With less than 1 month’s notice you may only receive class credit. Extended Day sessions are non-refundable. Requests for any refund must be done via email to [email protected]. See our full refund policy here.
