Textiles for Tweens (ages 11-14) takes place on Thursdays at Textile Arts Center. This hands-on class aims to expose students to a variety of textile mediums. Students will be able to draw inspiration from work in fine arts, fashion design, home textiles, and gain insight into the endless possibilities within the world of textiles. Techniques students may explore include printing, weaving, sewing, dyeing, and more! 

Our tweens class aims to inspire young artists to experiment and gain confidence working in the TAC studio environment.

Snack and homework is from 3-4pm. Class starts at 4pm

Our Residency Program

Textiles for Tweens students draw inspiration from our very talented, dedicated Artists in Residence. For 9 months, 8 artists and designers work at TAC toward an exhibition, while going through a professional development program. Alongside such artists and designers, our tween students get to observe the professional creative process, develop their own critical dialogue, and receive mentorship.
