Fabric Painting

Natural materials can be used to create patterns, effects, and surface designs on textiles. In this 12 hour class, students will learn different ways to extract color from natural materials, how to make all natural paints with natural dyes and pigments, natural resists, and many direct application techniques.

Silk painting produces beautiful results and allows for a lot of creative freedom – like a water-color painting on fabric. In this class, students will learn and explore silk painting techniques using dyes and different resists.
