Ancestors In Progress II

On view until Sunday, February 16.

"Ancestors In Progress is a unique showcase that delves into the creative expressions of artists who embraced the profound notion that they are paving the way for future generations as ancestors. Through various mediums, these artists explore and illuminate the values and teachings essential for the preservation of their cultural traditions. The exhibition transcends temporal boundaries as artists intricately knot fibers, upcycle denim, and embellish cotton cloth. Their works, infused with the themes of water, healing, spirituality, freedom, memory and loss serve as a powerful testament to the resilience and richness of black heritage.

In celebration of Black History Month, Ancestors In Progress emerges as a collective commitment to sharing knowledge, ensuring that the narratives embedded in the art resonate with and inspire generations to come." (Black Girl Sew)

Ancestors In Progress II, is a captivating group exhibition featuring the works of 20+ talented U.S.-based BIPOC artists.
