The  Low-Immersion Studio Residency is a 5-week program that provides working space and access to TAC’s studio facilities and equipment to textile artists and designers. Residents will share 500 sq feet open studio space, and have a dedicated pin wall and desk space.

Tuition

The tuition of Textile Arts Center’s Low Immersion Studio Residency Program is $500 per resident, with additional $200 security deposit.

Eligibility

We are looking for artists and designers at all career stages, working in textile/fiber media. Eligible applicants must be 21+ years old and have good English proficiency. We encourage international artists to apply, but applicants are responsible for all necessary VISA arrangements and fees.

Selection Process

The selection process is led by a committee of Textile Arts Center’s staff, as well as professionals working in different fields of textile arts.

Selection criteria include:

  • Proposal for work/research to be developed during the residency 
  • Artistic Merit
  • Community Engagement
