STUDIO CLASS RULES & REGULATIONS

 

With your class registration comes the ability to use Open Studio time to work on class projects outside of class. Open Studio times are listed on our website calendar and you must follow the sign-up policies in order to use the studio. Students are only entitled to use the studio free of charge for the duration of the course, and for project directly related to class material.

Classes start and end promptly. You will be asked to begin clean up 15 minutes prior to class end time. Please do not show up more than 10 minutes early for class -- you may not start work on projects until class time has begun.

If you have scheduled to meet with your instructor regarding your class outside of class time, you must notify the Textile Arts Center office for approval.

All work, burned screens included, will be discarded if not claimed within one week of your class end date.


MEDIA RELEASE

 

In order to help the environment, we've ceased to have written consent for Media Release.  By accepting TAC's Media Release at registration, you give Textile Arts Center the right to use images of you, or your work, purely for publicity, promotional and marketing materials relating to TAC programming. Your name will never be used, unless we specifically ask for your permission.

If, for any reason, you feel very strongly against having any images used, please contact us in writing or via email (info@textileartscenter.com) following your registration, so that we may keep it on file.


CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

 

PLEASE NOTE: For all Adult & Youth cancellations, we are unable to refund processing fees collected at the time of registration by our third-party class registration software Active. Any credit or refunds will be for the cost of the class only.

For Adult Student Cancellations: Please double check your calendar before signing up for a class! Our small team works very hard throughout the year to schedule each class and coordinate with our students. When you register for a spot in one of our classes, you are reserving a seat and committing to join us for that date and time.   If for some reason you need to cancel a class you’ve signed up for, please note the following policies:   

At least one month before class:

Students may receive full refund or credit to a future class at TAC, minus a $25 processing fee for Morning/Evening Series, Weekend Intensive, and 4-Week Classes, and a $10 processing fee for After Workshops.

Less than one month before class:

Students may receive credit only to a future class at TAC, minus a $25 processing fee for Morning/Evening Series, Weekend Intensive, and 4-Week Classes, and a $10 processing fee for After Workshops.  We are unable to offer refunds with less than one month notice.

All requests for refunds or class credits must be made in writing via email to info@textileartscenter.com. In addition to the timing guidelines above, we of course appreciate as much notice as possible when making any adjustments to registrations.

 

Course Horse students will need to contact Course Horse directly about cancellations or refunds. TAC cancellation policy will apply.

 

All classes, workshops, special events, and gift certificates are non-transferable. No refunds will be given on Gift Certificates. Gift Certificates are valid for (1) one year from the date of purchase.


YOUTH CANCELLATIONS:

 

Youth Afterschool and Mini Camps: 1 month notice is required for full refund or credit; less than one month is 75% refund or credit; less than one week there will be no refund or transfers for credit. Should you make any changes to your registration you will be charged a $25 administrative fee.  Requests for any refund must be done via email to info@textileartscenter.com.

 

Youth Summer Camp:  The cost of camp includes a $50 non-refundable deposit at booking.  Please be sure your camp dates are correct before signing up.  Should you make any changes to your registration you will be charged an additional $25 administrative fee.  1 month cancellation notice is required for full refund or credit; less than one month is 75% refund or credit; less than one week there will be no refund or credit. Requests for any refund must be done via email to info@textileartscenter.com.

 

Birthdays: Cancellations must be made three weeks in advance.  Failure of notice will result in loss of 50% deposit.  Less than two weeks notice will will result in full loss of deposit ($455).


For scheduled special events, demos, lectures, and workshops: please give 2 weeks notice in order to receive a full refund or credit.

All classes, workshops, special events, and gift certificates are non-transferable. No refunds will be given on Gift Certificates. Gift Certificates are valid for (1) one year from the date of purchase.


CLASS MAKE-UP POLICY

 

Classes do not include individual Make Up sessions -- though you may be able to schedule a private lesson with your instructor based on their availability. We are unable to pro-rate classes or refund students who cannot to make it to class. If you have to miss a class, you are responsible for catching up during Open Studio time. 


DISCOUNTS & COUPONS

 

All discounts and coupons are nontransferable, limited to single use, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or offer.

 

During promotional periods listed on the website: there will be no retroactive discounts or refunds. If you sign up online without calling in, you will not receive the discount. Classes of the Week discount will only be honored if this promotion is going on. TAC reserves the right to stop and start this discount system, and is subject to change.


PROPERTY DAMAGE

 

The Textile Arts Center reserves the right to refuse service, to charge student for damaged studio property, and is not responsible for students' lost or damaged property
