PARENT + CHILD HANDMADE WORKSHOPS!
Spend an afternoon with your child at the Textile Arts Center, making your own handmade gifts together!
During the month of June, TAC will offer single-afternoon classes in which students create completed projects - taught by our talented team of TAC Youth Instructors, who are textile artists and designers in their own right. Designed for a Parent (or Aunt, Uncle, Grandparent!) and Child duo, these fun, two-hour workshops are a great way to spend time together and learn a new creative skill! SPACE IS LIMITED!
Denim Rag Rugs:
Dreaming of weaving? During this workshop, you and yours will work together to transform an old pair of old jeans into a rug! Learn the magic of weaving on a floor loom and make something you can use in your home.
This workshop is a great opportunity for collaboration and learning a new skill together, integral actives for brain development for ages 5-15. All supplies provided.

In this class, you will learn the traditional Japanese art of making marbled paper, Suminagashi, as well as simple book binding techniques, transforming your fabulous marbled paper into a set of notebooks you can use or share.
