Inspiration Board: Silk Painting

What’s great about learning a skill is that it never needs to fit inside one box. Like drawing? Try creating an illustration on silk screen or experiment with nonconventional surfaces. Like sewing? Take a stab at sewing into a 3d object or furniture! Is painting your thing? Use india ink and create a design for photo emulsion in screen printing, paint with natural dyes, or try fabric painting…like say… silk :

Crazily inspired?? I thought so! Our Manhattan location is hosting a Painted Silk Scarf After Workshop on February 25th; join us with all your newly found silk painting inspiration!

In this workshop you will learn how to design and paint your own silk scarf, while learning the basics of silk painting.
