Bring some color(blocking) to your life

Many color-lovers are drawn to boldness color–blocking so why not do it with natural dyes? If you are a color–obsessed individual, listen up! You may be choosing your dyes under the false pretense that natural dyes are duller or not as durable as the more popular synthetic alternatives, but that is simply not true.

You can get the pinkest of pinks and the bluest of blues with stuff that comes from the ground, and you needn’t turn to harsh chemicals to get the bold colors you so desire.

Our natural dye classes will teach you how to obtain rich colors using plant parts like flowers, roots, bark, insects, etc. During class you will have the opportunity to experiment with your own swatches as well as a chance to complete a personal project.

Here is one idea: I’ve been obsessed with this blanket from Purl Bee—their simplicity is timeless and the color combos are endless. SWOON. Why not bring a special twist to these simple yet inspiring blankets using your own natural dyed yarn?
