Artists in Residence: First Round of Critiques

This week at TAC, the artists in  residence finished their first round of critiques. In just a short amount of time it is amazing how the artists have already begun to explore whole new directions in their practice. The artists discussed  interesting new pieces, as well as their exploration into new processes and avenues of creative inquiry.

The artists are applying their own unique skills and voices to textile traditions including natural dying, wall hanging, weaving, and embroidery. Encouraged by the talent of their peers, the positive energy within TAC, and new techniques introduced through workshops and classes, this week’s critique gives us a glimpse of the quality and creativity  we can expect from these six promising young artists over the next eight months.
